It has been said that “you never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have”. This quote reminds me of one of my coworkers, Kevin Marr.
For nine years, Kevin has been a loyal employee of Cable Cable, and through his role of Customer Support Representative, has assisted countless customers resolve technical issues. He has a unique communication style which our subscribers seem to appreciate, and he always goes above and beyond to ensure he ends his discussions on a positive note.
Kevin is also a very supportive co-worker, never missing an opportunity to supply home remedies to sick team members, crack a joke when it’s most needed, come into the office for meetings on his days off, or dress up as Darth Vader when I come up with crazy Facebook video ideas.
This year, Kevin and his family experienced an unthinkable tragedy, and the strength he has shown throughout the process is remarkable. Despite his grief and his increased responsibility at home, Kevin has continued to be rock-solid in his role with our company, often taking on extra shifts and demonstrating initiative outside of his job role.
He makes our office a better place to be and for that we feel he should be recognized. Kevin Marr is Cable Cable’s ‘Office Hero’.
I was anxious to find out if my long distance plan covered collect calls. I spoke to Kevin, who informed me that collect calls were not covered and of course would be very expensive. I told him why I would be getting collect calls over the next year or so and he gave me information about a company that dealt specifically with my needs. He has saved me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars over the past 18 months and I could not be more grateful. I am a senior on a fixed income and this information meant so much to me. Kevin is my hero!
